I was born in southern Iran and came to the United States as a student. After graduating from university I maintained my interest in writing and literature. My short fiction in English has been published in Story Quarterly, The Coffin Factory, Guernica, Epoch, Fiction International, American Letters & Commentary, Puerto del Sol, and other places. My work in Persian has appeared in various magazines in Iran and the US.  A novel and two collections of short stories were published in Iran.

The Lemon Grove is my latest novel.

The Lemon Grove is a story of love, redemption, and the courage to survive in the face of calamity and loss. Twin brothers Behruz and Ruzbeh are in love with Shireen. When Behruz leaves America and returns to Iran to help his brother
who has been injured in the Iran- Iraq war, a series of events are set in motion that change all their lives.http://www.amazon.com/The-Lemon-Grove-A-Novel/dp/0810128292
